Lord Ibarius dabbed his forehead with a kerchief that dried instantly in the desert heat and straightened, surveying the cavern. The white light of the oppressive sun broke through even here, illuminating a three-sided stone pyramid half buried in the sand in the center of the chamber. He looked down at his nissern slave, Ollet, who watched him with a suspicious eye – the only eye he had – then to his Glenri slave, Portia, whose local name he never bothered to learn.
“This is it?”
Portia muttered something to the desert guide, listened to the gibberish answer, and nodded.

Percy the purple porpoise swam in the polar sea,
And a purportedly purposeful porpoise was he.
His purple porpoise pals reported that Percy’s purpose
Was to find his porpoise destiny.
What was the porpoise-profit of putting Percy in that pod?
Was there a purpose giver or a porpoise god?
Percy the purple porpoise pondered these propositions
As he departed his polar porpoise squad.
Percy paddled and pushed, pinpointing Prudent Thorpus,
A prominent tropic porpoise with a prestigious published corpus.
Percy petitioned his perspicacity for a purple polar postulant,
To which Thorpus purely proffered, “Live your life on porpoise.”
