Simply put, it’s a community of people who believe in empowering others through literacy and literature, who each donate $1 every month.
> It’s empowering. Not only do we fight for the underdogs, we’re supported by them. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
> It’s invitational. Most of us can’t afford to give $20 a month to a cause we really care about, but we can give $1 and invite 19 friends.
> It’s communal. In the spirit of the Nguni Bantu philosophy of ubuntu (“I am because we are”). We exist in community, and our funding reflects that.

Your Untold Dollar could provide school textbooks to students, training for future educators, extracurricular enrichment programs for children and adults, protection and revitalization for endangered languages, and develop new opportunities for creative and critical thinking. All you have to do is give $1.
Your gift has a real and immediate impact. Here are some of our current projects.
We believe stories have the power to unlock imagination, which in turn unlocks creative and critical thinking skills. We believe sustainable solutions come from within, and we believe in empowering leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives through literacy and literature.
Most recently we partnered with the community of Asisiriwa to create our first literacy center, Kasadwini Atenaeɛ. This center houses a library of African and world literature in English and Asante Twi, which opened March 6, 2019. It also includes a covered amphitheater and a classroom for extracurricular literacy and writing classes for all ages – in English and Twi.

Yes. Untold International is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Colorado. If you pay taxes in the US, you can claim your donation.

No. There are no transfer fees with Zeffy, and we get 100% of your donation. When you donate, there is an option to “keep Zeffy free” and you can add an amount that will go directly to Zeffy if you’d like to do so.
